Piano Moving Tips
Piano Placement within your home
The ideal location for an upright piano is adjacent to an internal wall, on a rug or carpet. To help keep your piano in tune for longer you should avoid locations with changes in temperature, such as heaters, coolers or direct sunlight.
Moving up or down Stairs
Please advise us, when you make your booking, of any stairs or steps involved in the piano move at either the starting location or the destination. We may be able to avoid these with careful planning.
Flooring
Your piano’s castors can cause an indent on the hardest flooring over a period of time. We can provide protective cups, at $20 a set, which slip under the wheels to protect your flooring from damage from the heavy piano.
